If you like the excitement of a fast-growing startup and are passionate about having impact, you'll fit right in.

About us

What we’re passionate about. Accelerating investment in net zero. As simple as that.

How we do it. For clean energy projects to be built, they must be financed - and financiers need a robust review of risks before they’ll commit capital (’due diligence’). We use tech to make their risk review quicker, more collaborative, and far less stressful. The result? Faster financing and build-out of net zero projects.

What we’ve achieved so far: Our platform has been used on over 500 renewables and storage transactions globally, from the UK to Australia - and our product evangelists range from the world’s largest investor in offshore wind, through to the developer of the world’s first electric forecourt. We were proud to win ‘Newcomer of the Year’ at the Energy Risk Awards 2022 (Texas, US) and the Award for ‘Risk Management’ at the Wind Investment Awards 2022 (London, UK).

Where we’re headed. We believe it’s inevitable that clean energy transactions will go digital, especially as renewables themselves are now mature. Digitalisation will accelerate investment into net zero, whilst also being a great growth story in itself. The next 1,000 unicorns will come from the green industry, according to the chief executive of BlackRock, the world's largest asset manager. US climate change envoy John Kerry calls the energy transition ‘the biggest market opportunity the world has ever known’.

Values

Our values underpin everything that we do.

Customer-obsessed: we work every day to earn and keep customer trust 🙌
Originality: We challenge our own thinking and dare to try new things ✈️
Progress over perfection: We iterate quickly, learning by doing 🧑‍🎓
True to the team: We collaborate, we care, we’re not afraid to laugh at ourselves 🤣

But most importantly, we recognise that we are only as strong as the calibre of our team. We’re building a team of extraordinary people, because we’re working on an extraordinary challenge.

And we like to have fun in our spare time too - because life is about more than just work: we all need time to recharge, recover and explore other passions. Our hobbies span travelling, gaming, hiking, all-things-green, lambing, family trips to Legoland and more…

Applying: what you can expect

We see interviews as a two-way thing, where we all get to know each other better. Here’s how we tend to run things:

Initial chat. We start by inviting all shortlisted candidates to a videocall discussion. It’s short, pretty informal - a chance for you to introduce what you’re about and why you’re interested in LD. And we’ll return the favour by sharing what we do and what we stand for. We’ll also ask you to clarify your salary expectations; a rough ballpark is fine.

Coding/design exercise + personality test: We then ask you to complete a short exercise, tailored to the job role you’re applying for. We try to make it fun! We complement this with a personality test - because we care about who you are as a person and what you’ll bring to the team in the most holistic sense.

Walk-through the exercise: Then we schedule a 30min call to walkthrough the exercise, to explore your thought processes in how you approached it. We’ll do this remotely.

Final interview, in Bristol: This is a longer one, and we’ll hold it at our office (we cover your costs) so you can get the vibe of where you’ll be working. It’s our chance to bring things together, to explore values, culture, the big picture of where you and LD are going, how we’ll support your growth - plus an opportunity to address more prosaic topics like job perks, hours and logistics. We welcome your questions throughout the process!
